Filter Press
Plate & Frame Type, Recessed Plate Type Filter Presses
Frame and Plate Type Filter Presses have separate frames and plates. To form chamber between two plates, recessed plate type have lifted rim round the edges of its plate. During operation, the filter cloth hang from all the plates, widening beyond the edges. Each plate has centrally placed feed hole, also there are corresponding holes in the filter cloth, fasten leak-proof to the plate at the middle with clips. When liquid is pumped-up into press, it fills up in chambers and goes through pores of the filter cloth. Solid such as dirt clay and broken seed can’t pass out through small pores, and are preserved on cloth, resultant to separation of liquid from solid. Cleaned liquid is taken out through cock connected to each plate. Each plate is ground to close tolerance to have leak-proof joints at operational temperatures, which is normally maintained at 35 lbs / sq. inch. The filtration rate is really high due to all-powerful pump and perfect assembly.
